Where will the Community Garden be in Deer Park?

The Deer Park in Progress (DPiP) Community Garden Committee will be talking about garden location at the meeting. We invite all interested community members to come to the meetings and give their ideas and suggestions.

The Deer Park Elementary PTO has been talking a community garden too! We were hoping that it could get our kids more involved in a healthy way of life and give them more health in their school meals. We did not receive the grant for fruits and veggies this year for the kids and we are looking for long term solutions to this problem. I will be mentioning this meeting and the ideas that I have at the PTO meeting on Nov. 9th. We are so excited to be moving this once great farming community in the direction of a community garden!

Deer Park In Progress (DPiP) is extremely happy to hear of the interst of the PTO in the community garden. We welcome and encourage any youth participation.

It would be great to have someone from the PTO attend the next community garden meeting on Monday the 15th, we would love to hear your ideas!

The PTO has its monthly meeting tomorrow and I will be handing out information to the attendees about this meeting. I plan to be there because I have so many great ideas that could help improve this community!!! Hopefully some of the other members will be able to make it to talk about the potential this idea holds for the whole town!!
