Coalition members met Tuesday, February 17 at Deer Park Library. Members present were Joan Robertson, Cindy Ashworth, Diane Knutson, Christine Clark, Paul Lewis, and Valerie Woelk.
A discussion was held about the great response to requests for donations on the February 26 Planning Meeting Dinner. The discussion resulted in an agreement to apply for an EIN number from the IRS & to establish an Association bank account at Bank of America.
Paul Lewis volunteered to complete this task. This association does not have non-profit status.
Checks may be written to: Coalition for Early Learning (RNSC). This account is held at Bank of America/Deer Park.
Those wishing to donate for a charitable donation will need to request a designated donation through another organization which is non-profit(501 C3). To date, the Coalition does include a non-profit C3 organization. Merchants donating to this event/Coalition will need acknowledgement of contributions for their advertising program and budget. We are searching for a non-profit local organization for such pass-through donations.
We need confirmation of invited guests by Friday, February 20.
